About Seven Income Streams
One of the biggest shifts you can make in your healing arts business is moving away from relying on a single source of income.
When your income depends on just one offering—like 1:1 sessions—it often leads to inconsistency, overbooking, and eventual burnout. The seven income streams model offers a more sustainable approach by diversifying how you earn, while still honoring your energy and capacity. This model is loosely based on the understanding that most millionaires have seven or more income streams.
This doesn’t mean doing more for the sake of doing more.
It means building intentional, complementary streams that work together to support you.
For example, a solo healing arts practitioner might structure their business like this:
• 1:1 Reiki Sessions – Private Reiki or healing sessions (in-person or online)
• Complimentary Healing Modality #1 – Integrating an additional modality to your healing arts practice and bundling your services for deeper, ongoing support.
• Reiki Courses or Trainings – Reiki certifications, online programs or self-paced content that provide a teaching component of your top healing tool.

My name is Carrie Varela. I am the founder of the Reiki Healing Society, co-host of the Reiki Women Podcast and creator of the Go Pro with Reiki Mentorship Program.
I am a Reiki practitioner and teacher, yoga instructor, Vedic astrologer, mother, mystic and modern day healer. I inspire people to connect with spirit, nature and their truest essence through Reiki, Yoga & Vedic Astrology.
With over 15 years of experience as a solo practitioner and woman-owned small business, I support emerging and established healing arts professionals in building practices that are both meaningful and financially sustainable.
